Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Level 23hours Face-to-Face Virtual or at Your Place of Work
This course will develop your knowledge of safeguarding adults, including the principles of capacity and consent. You will learn about the different types of abuse and neglect, how to respond to disclosures, whistleblowing, and the importance of record keeping.
This course is delivered virtually via Zoom. This training can also be delivered to a group of learners in person at your place of work.

- How to identify an adult in need of safeguarding support.
- Your legal responsibilities are to safeguard adults under relevant legislation.
- The principles of capacity and consent, including how to support decision-making and best interests.
- What the different types of abuse and neglect are, and how to identify them.
- The steps to take to minimise an adult’s risk of abuse or neglect.
- How to deal with a safeguarding disclosure and keep accurate records.
- The roles of statutory bodies and how they will act following a referral.
- Safer recruitment responsibilities, including how to obtain a DBS check
