The UK's Leading not-for-profit First Aid Training Company, Tigerlily Training. Established in 2004 we provide First Aid for Early Years and Childcare, Schools and Education Sector, Fire Safety and Mental Health Courses at our client's premises and our 100 UK training venues.

We are training providers to industry sectors across the UK and we pioneered blended learning for the first aid sector. Tigerlily Training ensures that our eLearning product remains the leader in the market.

We provide a mix of regulated (RQF) courses and non-regulated courses.

We adhere to the guidance of The HSE, Department for Education and The UK Resus Council and as a member of a trade body, CTQ, we are an approved training centre.

Tigerlily Training is accredited and monitored by CTQ (Certify Training Qualifications), a professional body for first aid training providers. In conjunction with our accreditation, we operate a thorough quality system (ISO9001) that consistently reviews and monitors our Trainers, Venues and Course Material to ensure that we are delivering the highest standard of training.

All our statutory courses such as FAW, EFAW, Paediatric and Fire Safety meet The HSE guidance and Ofsted registration requirements.

Our Paediatric Courses are suitable for EPA (End Point Assessment) for the Early Years Educator and EYFS requirements.

plus-circleminus-circleHow does your blended learning course work?

Tigerlily was the first training company to provide Blended First Aid Training, launching our initial software in 2004.

Blending learning can increase Recall Enhancement with Interactive Methods and Visual Aids. Once you have booked a blended course, you will receive your eLearning login details. The online section of the course can be accessed 6 weeks in advance of the practical training day.

    • Elearning must be completed prior to the practical day, as your trainer will assess you on the content covered in this module
    • The non-practical elements of your first aid course are covered in this module
    • Your certificate will be available in your portal once the full course has been successfully completed 

 

plus-circleminus-circleWhat time does the practical course start?

All courses held at our UK wide training venues will start promptly at 9.30am and will finish at 16.30pm. Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time for the start of the course, unfortunately, if you are late and the course has started you will be turned away and need to rebook and pay for another course.

If you have booked an in-house course, timings will be arranged at time of booking with your account manager.

Yes; you will have two 15 minutes breaks and a lunch break of 45 minutes.

plus-circleminus-circleWhat do I need to take to the course?

You must bring ID so the trainer can check your identity for certification purposes.

We advise that you wear comfortable clothes and advise against wearing tight trousers or a short skirt, as you will be required to kneel on the floor to complete your CPR practise and assessment.

We suggest that you take a packed lunch with you and refreshments for the day as we cannot guarantee what facilities will be available at each venue.

We have approximately 120 experienced first aid trainers who deliver courses for us across the UK. Our trainers are passionate about First Aid and Health & Safety and many have a medical or emergency services background.

plus-circleminus-circleWill I be asked to complete an assessment?

Yes; to gain your certificate you will need to show competence in the subject taught. On any of the face-to-face training, the trainer will assess your practical skills during the practical day – this assessment will be group-based. You will not be expected to demonstrate in front of the class.

All of our trainers hold a teaching qualification; they are skilled and experienced in working with learners to gain their qualification.  

You will be required to complete a number of assessments during the eLearning and a final multiple-choice assessment. 

plus-circleminus-circleCan I take my child to the training?

Unfortunately not - we deliver work based certificated training, therefore, it is essential that all learners are 100% focused on the day with no distractions. It is also essential that all learners are present entirely for the full course, we are very strict with start and finish times.

plus-circleminus-circleWhat happens if I book the course but can't attend?

Our booking terms and conditions state that the following refund/amendment schedule:

Four weeks or more prior to the course date: You are eligible for a full refund or course transfer

Between Four weeks and Seven Days prior to the course date:

  • You can cancel with a 50% refund
  • You can transfer to another course date with a 10% charge
  • You can transfer the course to another individual free of charge

Less than seven days prior to the course date:

  • No refunds or course transfers are possible.
  • The full fee must be paid if a learner wishes to re-book a course.

Please note our courses are limited to 12 learners. unfortunately, regardless of the reason for non-attendance or late attendance, we are unable to provide free or discounted course transfers.

plus-circleminus-circleHow do I get my Certificate?

As part of our Environmental Policy, Tigerlily are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continue to improve our environmental performance. We have a responsibility to reduce the paper, packaging and hardcopy materials used. We therefore now use modern technology to issue e-certificates. Your e-certificate is a valid form of certificate and is accepted by all accreditation bodies and you will be emailed a link with your certificate, following course completion, which will contain a unique QR code so your employer or statutory body can view and verify.

For EFAW and FAW certificates we provide optional credit card certificate for lanyards when needed to gain site or company access. Contact us to discuss this option.

If you have booked an in-house course, links to your certificates for all staff can be found in your client portal.

plus-circleminus-circleWhat happens if I lose my certificate?

Your e-certificate will be sent by email on completion of your course, however if you require another link, please contact us. For all in-house bookings, your can access these links via your client portal.

If you have paid for a paper certificate and require a replacement, please call our admin team who will arrange this for you, however there is a £10 charge for a replacement paper certificate.
